Pepe Le Pew

Well, I took Wednesday off and hit lower Otay. There was no wind and clear sky. I started out with weedless frog, and then the worm into the tules. I then tossed the buzzbait and nada. I figured they moved into deeper water so I set up a drop shot on rig with swimbaits.
I went to a 1 ounce jig head and a 4 inch grub. I used pro cure trophy bass scent and crawfish. I fished 30 to 45 feet of water and nada.
I then went to nightcrawlers and mealworms nada. Ten oclock the wind kicked up to 15 miles per hour and I called it. DFG said 8 bass were caught that morning in 40 feet of water on senkos. I had a really nice day on the water except for Pepe Le Pew.

Sorry for the skunk but you were out there and it sounds like a great day on the water. The fish is the bonus just being able to get out there is the pay off.

Phil, like Jeff said, at least you got out there! I'm sure you'll nail them next time!

September was like that for me, glad you were out on the water.

well I was stuck inside at my desk looking at a computer all day Wednesday. As they all said before me, at least you were out there

A day at work, helps pay the bills. A day on the lake...... priceless!
