big hammer colors...

What are your favorite colors for local saltwater bass? My summertime favorite is red rum.haven't really fished winter for bass on the plastic yet. Any tips?

There are 3 types of bass that all require different types of fishing and tackle. Also the location on where your fishing plays a roll as well.

My fave have to be the christmas tree

Spotties in Bays? And have you ever fished izors reef with plastics? I have only used lead head squid there but want to try plastics

Fishing izors I've used OTS baits creature baits, swimbaits and grubs with big paddle tails all from 4-7" smothered in hotsauce.

for spotties - for big hammer baits only.
1. dark colors only at night/befor gray light.
2. day light - match the hatch. red drum/rum, sexy smelt

izors reef - night time its the same colors and day time you want something with reds in it.
red drum/rum, x-mas tree color.
winter time, water is cold. high 50s right now and fish are not moving to chase for food right now.
your going want to fish 5-6" baits on 1-1/2oz - 2oz lead heads due to the tides.
65lb powerpro to 30-40lb top shot.

X2 on the Christmas Tree

I have fished the Christmas color over and over again with nothing showing for it until HH when I landed a nice spottie on a Christmas tree type color with UV coating about 3 months ago.
Ya it is a good color to use.
