Cerritos Park

Put in a couple hours practicing with a jig and pig. I think I had a couple bites but it was pretty subtle. Water temp is 56 deg. I mainly just dissected one end of the lake and made note of depths and invisible structure. And bs'ing with this fellow fish fiend doing the same bait. Skunks all around but no surprise. Flippin is comin along. Even sat down on the bank and tossed a few. Gonna get 'em next time.

Sweet report! Wetting a line whenever you can is always a good thing! I've never fished Cerritos lake but sure would like to give it a try sometime! Thanks for the report!

Great effort Waxon keep up the good work. I caught my first bass at that lake on a purple palstic worm back in the late 70's. I remember back when they where building that park. I have caught several bass there but have not fished it in several years. I'm going to have to make a trip over there. Thanks for the report.

I went there on sunday and tom meet me up there but i forgot my fishing liecnes lol
and i was going to fish but something said dont do it and i didnt go fishing and sure enough tom saw fish and game walking around the lake
but i wanted to so bad lol

Thanks tubers! Its my go to puddle for sure. I always end up bs'n with another fiend and you always learn a lot that way. My first bass was caught there too. I guess I have an affection for the lake. I've been watching vids of KVD pitching and flipping. He goes so fast and talks the whole time about what hes doing. I know hes a pro but hes amazing to watch. He can cover so much water so fast. I pretended to do the same. Just saw the lake as a grid and started nailing each imaginary square. We had a breech while we were fishing. So of course we through to that spot. I know it was a bass coming up to say...hang in there dude you'll get me if you can! I just thought...bet your bass I will lol

Basically just a short SUPER accurate cast. Its kinda like lobbing a ball to home plate or and underhand free throw or yor.

I always lose them on the pig n jig.
