Salt Water Tube Fishing

Well I was Asked What Do You Do If You Catch A Sting Ray Or Scorpion Fish
Well I Said I would Cut The String As Soon As I Seen It

Okay here is what I do. I have hung a few real big rays from my tube. From Bat Rays, Sting Rays to Shovel Nose. 99.5% of the time, I just try to get back as much line as I can. Once the fish is close to the tube, I will clip the line as close as I can to the bait. That is the best thing to do. Unless you want to photo your catch or REALLY want that plastic bait back. The hook will rust out of the fish in about a week in the salt. There is no reason to clip the stinger while your butt is floating in a tube. It is way to dangerous. Just clip the line as close as you can to the fish. As for a Sculpin, either lip grap it and hold it solid or grab it with a pair of pliers. There is no reason to clip a Sculpins fins unless you plan on keeping it to eat. If you clip it and release it, it will not survive. If you want to cook it for dinner, by all means, CLIP them!

I have never caught anything i could not bring in. Mostly fish fresh i guess. I did hook up with a 26lb cat once! towed me around like i was on a wake board. Have u seen JAWS? "Bring me another barrel" Kinda like that.

I hooked a bat ray one time on 8Lb in NPH from my tube and I basically skied around the bay being towed! It was hilarious! I ended up like 1/4 of a mile from where I hooked it and it broke me off on a boat mooring line. LOL! Super fun though!

Some times i am on the pohone and my i touch and laptop and my deck top but the main reason is at work when i put items in the system the owen wants ever word to begin with caps and it be came a habbit i dont mean anything by it didnt mean to a offend anyone
