newport report 4/6

Headed out to newps again w fatboy531 & SoCalfishKiller,extra early this time.met up w ChomponThis & Squidy.launched at 5:45 to a nice high tide.Keada714 showed up a couple minutes latwe to join us.the bite was slower than the week before,we definelty had to work for them.sea dogs were present as usual but not as curious.there were no skunks this day.found a leak in my tube,but it didn't keep me from fishing.the highlights of my day were catching a nice 16" chunk spottie,scoring on a free spinnerbait & catching my first fish on a Alabama rig!!
