just wondering what ff everyone is using on thier tubes i posted in the classifieds section looking for one for my u boat 2000 but no luck yet

i talked to cabelas today and the guy there told me that lowrance has lousy
customer service don t know if its true or not just what he told me he also said
humminbird has great service and didn t
know about garmin
the three i am looking at are
humminbird pmax 175 or 170
garmin echo 150
lowrance x4-pro
what do you guys think would work best for float tube fishing in shallow water 50 ft or less ??
don t need anything top end but being good at finding fish would be my most important feature then depth then water temp
which one of these three do you think would work the best and also do they work ok on 8 aa batteries ??
thanks for any info

If you can, search around. You don't have to get a compact fishfinder. Just get a normal sized one, if you can find one for cheap. I use the Humminbird 718, which can be removed from my Fish Cat 4 to slap onto my Dave Scadden pontoon within a few minutes.

Lowrance don't have a service rep issues..Just delayed response issue. Humminbird is becoming that too.

Lowrance X4 Pro is a nice unit. Budgeted item will be the PMax 175. Echo..some of us use them. Mix feelings for me.

Well, I love [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] best. Lowrance also have great service and I think elite 4x DSI has the clearest underwater view.

I don't know. You have the ability to sense those fishes underwater. Aquaman tingling senses?

I use a Garmin Echo 150 as well do some others on here I think... I love my fish finder and works perfect. It shows fish and shows wether or not I am over soft/hard ground and if there are bushes/weeds/rocks etc. under me. Also uses dual beams which just adds that little extra efficiency.

Whacked
