[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Are any of you aware of the proposed closure by the FED.s of the Southern Sierras to trout stocking, fishing and other activities due to the FROG? Inyo counties Supervisors have written a statement as to the economic and recreational impact to the region.

I sent an e-mail to Dr. Drew of the Eastern Sierra Region of California Trout, a website for conserving fishing activities in CA. and expressed my concerns.

If you go to frog info site you will learn that a pathogen will be the eventual down fall of the frog, NOT fish! I'm pisssed........We need to send e-mails to anyone who will listen.

Thanks needed to to vent, GT

Three fronts to this:

1. Frogs eat insects (the nuisance)
2. Frogs forementioned in the areas are on the endangered species list.
3. Fishes eat frogs (especially tadpoles).

Reduce predation fish stocking rates to improve frogs' spawning and survival rates.
