Simple Fun Gathering October 5th who's up

I have one of those bass pro rod holders that strap on the bladder will that help you?

As long as it fits on my cumberland and troll another pole

It only holds one rod and it's in the trolling position. I also found another rod holder that was my first one. It's the Berkley wall mount rod holder that I modified to fit a caddis. It's a little narrow to fit the Cumberland but we can probably make it work if you want. I'll take both of them just in case.

What is the weather gonna be like? foggy? breezy? And any attire recommendations for tomorrow? I have a set of waders with soft feet that I wore in the lake. Should I wear sweats under the waders and extra thick socks?? I figure it'll be hella cold in the am.

It's supposed to be a high of 89. I'm planning on wearing basketball shorts with tube socks and my breathable waders. Since I'm only in the water from my knee down the socks are enough. Also I'm taking a hoodie sweater and a bucket so I can take it off when it gets warm

OK Thanks for the info, I think my waders are breathable as well so I'll do the shorts thing too. What tube do you have? I have the blue fish cat 4 with the foam seats and water still leaks up the side of my leg. Maybe I gotta inflate more?

I have the Cumberland. Yah that water creeps up on top of the seat once in a while but it's at the knee for the most part. Plus you'll warm up once you start fighting the tide

Went out to fish the wall today around 6pm, we launched out of HB where the gathering will be. I hope the that conditions get better! It was howling with 30-40mph winds and the current was ripping! Thank god for foul weather gear, it was a washing machine everywhere, so we headed inside of LB to fish for spotties found some nice ones! Another hour of fishing then were calling it, I'm dreading the ride back to the ramp...

Unfortunately, I Won't be able to make it tomorrow, no sitter for the boy. Hope you guys have a blast and all catch some fish! Good luck everyone. Tight lines!

I got a hole in my right bladder!  Just realized this late tonight after taking the wife out to dinner.  I got home and decided to pump my tube and check it out when I hear a pssssss.  After checking the valve, I  noticed it was coming from the point so I unzipped and did the spit test and sure enough, bubbles!    I'm not gonna be able to make it.  And now I have to find a replacement bladder. .  

Well I hope everyone has a safe, fun time.  Hope to meet you guys at another event.

Up and ready to leave my house in Indio at 3am but all the weather reports and a few people I know are talking about some pretty high winds. Don't want to drive 2.5 hours each way to kick against the wind or even worse. Not fish. Going to have to hold out for a better day. Good luck out there gents.

I am up and ready to roll no wind right now but we will see most important we all stay safe. Fingers crossed high winds late in the day.

Nice meeting all you guys. Thanks to the guys that bought some of my stuff, you guys got a smoking deal.. 

I still have a ton of stuff left, I'll be taking pic's and posting it later on.

Anyways, hope you guys did well, and didn't get blown around too much. Funny I got home and the wind was barely blowing, and it was 12 degrees cooler..go figure. lol

I think fat boy won the pot I only got 1 hali 15 inches the wind bet us up but all was good to be out again with the forum fishing crew

Fatboy took the win w a 2.1 lbs spottie & also won the biggest fish side pot!!!

great morning on the water but I had to bail for work early, I had one pancake landed and lost a PB hali some one has a pick of the battle

first I want to say so nice fishing with all the new guys in the old guys that boy took the biggest fish in first place I got lucky with second place. the wind beat us all up but we talked it out and I think most of us were happy we did. I will start planning the next one Thanks to everyone that showed up.

I forgot to mention that, just before Jeff got there, I saw a coyote walking on the other side of the park, then trotted off into the bushes on the other side of the road, too bad I didn't have my 20-250 with me.. 

Another weird thing, when I left there it was 77 degrees and WINDY, when I got 2 miles from my house it was 63 and calm..
