does anyone know what would be good on the seams on the bottom of the pontoons, i got it used and it looks like some of the threads were worn off from dragging it up on the shore, i sewed them all up is there some kind of a glue or coating that would be good to put over the bottom seams to help prolong the threads. thanks..

hey jlittle100,
Hmmm, This is a tough one but not impossible. I am guessing your toon is a bit on the older side. In any case, as jackxxx mentioned if you have seams that are vulnerable you will need to take care not to drag it. As far as a glue or coating there are many to be had. I used to use shoe goo because it was cheap, easy to use and flexible. It is essentially like silicon caulking.

A few layers of Duct tape would help and you could replace it occasionally.

You can reinforce the thread you have now befor there gone . Go get a needle and some thick nylon string and get busy

AQUASEAL the best stuff to coat those seams and repair any leaks. Use the regular Aquaseal without the Accelerator as that hampers the longevity of the Aquaseal.
Takes about 12 hours to dry completely. Tuff as nails but flexible.

It's what most inflatable boat companies recommend for patching.

Great deals on e-bay. I always carry a tube, but that is the only way I "can" patch my boat (bladderless)

Is that used for the Vinyl bladder or the outer cover?

Aquaseal is used on so many of the aquatic material repairs, I lost count. Use it on my fins, pontoons, underwater equipment, and even my googles for snorkeling. Great to have it laying around.
