Irvine Lake 11-9, 1st time tubing it

Hope all is well, quick report from Saturday at Irvine Lake....launched from the west shore along with a buddy, started working the westshore almost all the way to the dam...threw spinners hard baits, worms for nothing, decided to move by trout island dock and work that area and man it payed off, had 2 rods one with 10lb and the other with 4lbs test....put powerbait on the 10lb and added a pink with white micetail on the 4lb set up....started just drifting reeling slow and bouncing off the bottom when , BAM the 10lb outfit on powerbait goes....wooooohoooo the skunk buster!!! re-rig and do it all over again and bam! 2 in less than 15 min, this time its my 4lb outfit going off, trout inhaled the pink micetail....wooohooo, 2 and 3 more to go for the limit....well i decided to do that again LOL hell it was working why not hahah....and BAM my 10lb setup goes BENDO action, oh hell yeah this one feels alot bigger than the others....peeling drag crazy....finally im tiring him out and indeed just like expiected it is my biggest, 3 in with 2 to go when the BIG FISH (WIFE) starts blowing up my phone hahah looks like play time is over...LOL...oh well didnt get my limit like i thought i could of, but ill get them next time! fish on, here are some pics, ENJOY!!! thanks for reading

oh and in a rush, grabbed the wrong rod, i brought a salt outfit with 15lb test hahah, bullshti!

Thanks bro and no doubt, you guys should come down one these weekend, saly some trout together, they have rainbows, brooks and browns...I have yet to catch me a brook or brown but on my list for this trout season!

yeah this weekend camping it at San Mateo in South County with some friends...and the 23rd im headed to Irvine lake again but with the boss and his kid and my nephew....ummm how about that thanksgiving weekend....i think theyre closed that thursday but friday sat and sun will be open...im down....or we can work somethign out, get some more peeps out, lots of tubers out there this past weekend, never so many of them....crazzy took over the lake hahaha, peeps couldnt troll hahah

Not in a madd rush as I still have yet to dust off the light tackle.. but we will make it happen!!

For sure, plenty of time, trout season just started!!!! will figure it out.....cool bro....will catch up....

Nice report trout is probably one of my favorite fish to go for something about catching trout on some 2 or 4lb test line that just makes it that more exciting

Oh for sure....I've never done 2lbs test only 4....ill have to check that out.....
