Whats up people,

My name is Ryan and im new to the forum. i live in san diego and i recently just got my first float tube...

i got a Outkast Fish cat 4 Deluxe in Orange.

I got a rod rack already (thank you Gatorfan) and i still have to get my waders and fins.


Just wanted to soak up as much info as i possible can before i take the tube out for the first time..

im looking a Force fins on Ebay right now. and im thinking on ordering Caddis waders from amazon. These ones...

I've never personally tried caddis waders but I have always heard bad things about them. I personally have Hodgeman breathable waders and no complaints here. If your pocket can allow it, I would recommend either waders with a zipper down the from or preferably waist high waders.

Same here I own hodgman pipestone breathable waders. They work well. My only mistake when ordering was. I ordered xxl stout which turned out to be too wide. Make sure to check the sizing charts for proper sizing. And force fins are great. You won't be disappointed.

And I'm way down for an SD session, I'd like to hit the coronado bridge.....my sis lives up there so I can stay at her house and do a saturday session. ....maybe after the holidays....anyways welcome!!!!!

Hey Ryan, anytime you want to hit the bay just let me know. I fish a lot under the bridge at Tideland park. Lots of spotties over there. Spanish landing is also a good spot to spend the day fishing. I am retired so anytime is fine with me.

The sound of retirement sounds great. The only issue is the WIFE. I'm sure she'll be busting my balls til I Die... Lol.

The wife and I have gone across the usa twice hitting all the lakes. Each trip we spend about three months on the road. This next road trip we are going to Alaska for three months. In 2010 we went to New Zealand for three months camping on the beaches in a tent. Talk about fishing, wow it was a blast!! We love to hit Scotts Flats Lake in central California. Wonderful campgrounds and lake with lots of bass and trout!

That's awesome. Spending time with your better half. That's the best. Jk on my wife she's the best.  

Man Rusty Hook i would love to do something like that.....im actually pushing the wifey to take me up on a Alaska halibut trip....long shot cuz she'd rather be in sunny weather lol but never know! thanks for sharing sir!
