Nothing but big spotties IN mission bay

Well my buddy and I decided to go fishing in Mission Bay on Friday. We had a high tide at 5am so we left Upland atz330am
first spot was fiesta island butthe eel grass made it difficult to fish. So we head to quivera basin to walk the marina and toss swim baits along the docks.well the bite went wide open for about an hour with nothing under 2 pounds. All said we had 8 huge spotties landed. We rented a skiff for a few hours and got nothing till my buddy put on an A Rig and nailed a pair of 3 pound spotties a great way to start the year
