Tried the twilight bite mid week.
Cold, windy but laid down right at sunset.
Low tide and the eelgrass was everywhere
Pretty good snap on the spotties right at dusk, one calico thrown in.
I just fixed a leak from dorsal spine a few weeks ago and had another close call tonight...freakin LA Harbor spots. The tails and teeth on these guys were crazy
Matched the hatch with 5 inch white and pinfish swim bait thrown in the junk. Needed 3/8th oz due to the wind.
Old reliable green Curado 100b on Loomis 845 MH Crankbait
Orange Diawa Sol on Shimano Crucial Dropshot Rod
Purple Daiwa Alphas 103 on Major Craft Volley BFS
40# max cuatro braid/ 1 foot 25# floro leader
Older Rods have lower modulus graphite, moderate/ slower action - much better hook up ratio for me compared to faster rods they have out these days.
