So here's my very first fish report on my Cherry Poppin' Tubin in the LAB session. Arrived at the meetup spot at 4:30 am and joined Bayfishingjunkie and wyu who was already there gearing up. Launched off the rocks in very low tide and got acclimated quite easily. The current made drifting that much easier. BFJ was on fire hooking fish and that gave me hope. Shortly after wyu started joining in the fun and now I'm excited. " my turn my turn my turn" but just being out there in the calm brisk dark morning and hearing an occasional "oh yeah" just gave me goose bumps. Every "short bite" just raised the anxiety even more. We worked alongside Malarkeys and that's when BFJ pulled a Spotted Beast out from under the docks. He left the small ones for us while he pulled Toads and showed us how's it's really done. 
I got my "decent" Sandie right before the fuel dock. Almost lost it cause it made a turn back under the dock and wrapped around the dock pylon but I got him loose.
BFJ had to bolt and that was around 10:00ish so wyu and I did one of those "one more cast" deals which meant we ain't leaving just yet. That's our MO btw.
So we continued to work all the way down and hit every nook and cranny that we encounter. Traffic started picking up so wyu decided to drift and booya.. He hooked a Butt. Nice unexpected find. Didn't get a picture of it cause it decided to do a cartwheel and body slammed itself on his 6 lb test and took the jig that fooled him as a souvenir. I was there to witness it so he's not telling another fishing story
. By that time, my bladder was about to explode so I switched into panic mode and started my way back to the launch site. All in all it was a great experience and I'm sure I speak for wyu that we're "hooked"
Big props to Bassfishingjunkie for "hosting" and showing us his secrets. So....... When's the next trip? Heehee
Oh one more thing. Started at 4:30am and left at 12:30pm. Boy how time flies
