Hi I'm new to the forum and to float tubing I'm planing on picking up a float tube and a pair of waders, I have a few questions if anyone can help me out?

1. What do you guys were under your waders? I plan on getting breathable but waders but what do guys wear in summer and winter months under your waders?

2. How do you protect the soft booties on your waders while getting in and out of the water and packing your tube from the water to the car or vise versa?

I go camando  Embarassed no if it is cold out I will wear jeans or sweats. If it is hot just shorts, some guys leave there waders behind and go in board shorts.

for my stocking feet I use crocs the nurse shoes, slip them on and hooks the on my tube then they are there when I am done.

BassHunter welcome to the boards...

I wear shorts underneth my waders as it's more comfortable for me as I get hot easy. I believe it all comes down to personal preference on that one.

As to protect your neoprene soft booties some folks get wading boots a few size larger to fit your foot and neoprene bootie in. I personally have a neoprene dive bootie that goes over my booties on my waders.

Here's the boot I have.

Hey thanks for the replies guys I like Jeffcpr's thing of wearing the crocs to protect the booties while getting in and out of the water to protect the booties and carry tube to the truck.

I was looking into getting a fish cat deluxe i like it has a inflatable seat as I have a bad lower back and a good pair of breathable waders I think the breathable type with work for a good all around wader from creeks to bays, if cold wear warm under garments , any thoughts on this?

I was looking at the Orvis silver sonic the seem like great waders a little on the higher end price wise but if they last me a long time i feel its worth spending the little but of extra money.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone and quick replies!
