I recently ordered a Creek Voyager frameless pontoon boat. In the Cabela's catalogue the boat was light blue which I figured would match with the sky from a fish eye view looking up. The boat that came was bright purple.
All fisherman are aware that fish can see color, although it varies a lot with depth. Purple is the far end of the spectrum and has the shortest wavelength in the prism spectrum. It is visible to a greater depth than other colors. I wouldn't wear a purple shirt to fish in , so I sent it back.
Has anyone had good fishing success in brightly colored boats? I would like to hear what people have to say on this topic.
