Today I fished with Travis/owner of Fools Bait. We tried the surf in Huntinton Beach first and the tide was too low and now fish to show for it. We decided to try a ninja spot in LBC and I was able to manage this spottie on the violet shad on a 1/4oz darter head.

I also caugh a 16" halibut right after the spottie, but when I was trying to grab it to get the hook out, the hook slipped and the hook went right into my wrist. Thank God the barb did not go into my wrist, just the point. I was able to pull it out and then it was time to go to work.
Travis was outfished on his own baits and caught a huge SKUNK! Ha ha ha
