EPIC MORNING IN THE LBC ON FOOLS BAIT

I was talked into fishing the LBC this morning by Oscar. We talked last night and I had my doubts as the tide was really low this morning.  He showed me a slightly different spot than our usual spot and DAMN he was right.  

We met up at 5:45am this morning and fished to 7:00am.  I ended up catching and landing 6 fish with my largest being a 18" halibut.  I caught a few sand bass and a lizard I used only Fools Bait in ghost shrimp, red jam, and violet shad.

nothing like a stack of pancakes to start the morning off right!

Nice session for an hours worth of time! If there are shorts around, there are big females around too. Better start tossing those baits on a heavier setup!

I'm fishing it on 10lb mono top shot on 10lb braid on my spin gear. I was fishing right on the waters edge on the extremely low tide. My buddy hooked into something HUGE and it was peeling line off of his reel. We got to see a tail flip in the skinny, then the hook slipped the mouth of the fish. Guessing it was a huge but or halibut

Those rocks look familiar. lol and if it's the spot I'm thinking of then I almost cut my waders there! lol.

Tide was really low and there were a lot of muscles and green alge on the rocks. Sort of dangerious. Great spot though.

Yeah, it sounds like that spot. My buddy caught a legal halibut about 100yds away from shore during our last trip. He was throwing a gulp worm.

atta boy on the fools bait, yet i haven't caught halibut over 12 inches off fools bait got any tips for the bigger pancakes or is it just my luck aahaha
