NPH 5/28/2014 After work solo sess, USUAL Suspects & Sea Lions

Whats up Everyone!!!

Hope all is well...well yesterday i posted i was doing the LAB but it didnt fall through so ended up in Newport and launching from Balboa Island....


Water temp: 67
In: 535pm
Out 910pm
Gear: Shimano Sonora 2500 10lb test Big Game, 2 Hook with the CAMO worm lol, Shimano Sienna 2500 6lb pink ande, 2 hook with the camo...
Landed 4 Lost 3 for jacking around with my gopro!!! booo!!!   

As for the Sea Lions, holly $hit, usually they come out and look around and go away, this time around it was a bit creepier cuz it was at night and all dark . they were about 50ft away and they were jumping up out of the water and splashing n $hit like if they were feeding on something ,i was saying in my head are they getting closer LOL LOL but it was jut me trippin cuz i was solo....so started paddling away from them but the splashes seemed to be getting closer LOL and then  just like that they went away but then started tripping again asking myselfl if he was coming my way haha no pics of course didnt need to get closer LOL but here are some pics of what i did land

GAME ON!    this one went for about 17-18inches

Then landed this a few min later about the same size!   as the last one

then on the way back to the launch site landed another one for total 4, dink so no picture!

I try to go out every wednesday after work if anyone ever wants to hit NPH

Yeah.. have been on a pretty steady grind.. been on the LAB pretty much twice a week..

Nice, for sure ive been wanting to do an am session myself.....hit LIDO Island....some different spots....gonna be a bit tough, its my nephews confirmation.....around 12ish...so that might be pushing it to get ready for that time, ill let you know manana....

Nice spot there buddy a few big boys makes the trip all worth while. I have been doing some solo trips myself lately and ya the creep factor gets turned up as the sun goes down. nice work buddy thanks for sharing.

WTG on the solo session!  Nice sized ones too     I wanted to go this morning but the wind was blowing pretty hard

Thx david and yeah the wind can become a problem...ive been out there when its hella windy...had to tie up to a bouy lol
