Ello' people. I'm going to hit up NPH tomorrow with my buddy from sunset to midnight. This is the first time that I've seriously tried for bass at night. May I ask for some guidance? I'm planning to throw 6lb with T-rigged worms, chigger craws, and perhaps a crank or two. I have some swimbaits, but I've never had a very high catch rate with them. All I'm going for tomorrow is numbers. Size is a consideration, but it doesn't matter too much. Thanks people.

I may see you out there if I decide to go tomorrow also. I've only been night fishing once before recently but it was a lot of fun. I was using swimbaits and got a decent number of strikes. I noticed that I didn't need my nightlight too often as the lights in the harbor were enough to see by until I would catch a fish. Then I would turn it on.

Cool. That's pretty reassuring that I won't really need a head lamp. I'll likely try the peninsula, but we'll see. Tomorrow's tide is going to be high.

First time in the dark, glad you are going with someone, make sure you know the tides and make sure you have some light. I like to use one head lamp turned around so it is on the back of my head and the other is on the front. I have the one on the back blinking and the one in the front only on when I need to see. Make sure you keep your eyes on the boat traffic as there are some boaters out there that just don't keep and eye out for anything. I love night fishing just stay say and let us know how it went for you.

Thanks guys. Is 6lb enough for the night bite or should I go higher? I want to get some fight out of the fish.
