Just got a tube last week, so im completely new to tubing, but not fishing in general. Went out with jeremy (jmericle) to try to bag some fish on fools bait. after reading a bunch of jeremy's fools bait reports on scsurffishing i ended up buying some for fishing the float tube.
we started around 6am. fished around docks and moorings most of the day. i managed the first fish around 645. nice 13" spotty. then jeremy got one about 20 mins later, smaller spotty but still a fish. now that we both beat the skunk we were way more relaxed. fishing was kinda slow for a while until we crossed to the other side of the channel and jeremy picked up the smallest sand bass ive ever seen hooked. the thing was the length of the fools bait!
a few minutes later i hooked up and lost a good sized fish. then another few later i hooked and landed a healthy 12" spotty
we started the kick back and i picked up one last smaller spotty around some moorings.
got back to the launch spot and parted ways. thanks for inviting me to fish with ya jeremy! it was a blast
