hello all my name is Si as you see im new to this forum. i do most of my tubing at silverwood and other local places. i reside in pasadena, ca. i have never float tubed in salt water but would like to try. can anyone recommend any local places for a good start. i just retired my fish cat for a pontoon

Welcome Si nice to have you float with us, i have been wanting float silverwood it has been along time sence i have been out there. As for the salt i would say Newport Harbor or the L.A.B would be the best places to start but make sure you don't go alone your first time again welcome and hope to see you on the water soon.

Welcome to the FTFF lots of great people and info on here. Been wanting to hit Silverwood as well just haven't made the trip. As for first time salt session the LAB is doable solo but if you want some company hit me up I'm always down for a LAB session

silverwood has been great for stripers, but winds usually kik me off the lake before noon., also not sure what LAB stands for

welcome to the forums if you gonna float the salt for the first time i would go with someone salty harbor fishin is alot diff from fishin the fresh

Welcome Si , glad to have you aboard .. As others have stated i would not got solo on my first mission to the salt . Personally myself I have not fished the salt and I really need to just muster up the courage and do it  Very Happy
