Air temp: 65  when I arrived and 75 when I left
Water temp: 74
Visibility: About 5 feet
Depth fished: Shore to 30 feet deep.

I hit up Perris this morning at 7 AM. Cloudy and cool, this is first time I wore my wetsuit since June. I was thinking there would be some top water action, but when I arrived I could see nothing breaking the surface. The wind was very calm with light gusts and the water was glassy to small ripples. I got nothing for the first hour, then missed a bump on the drop shot in about 14 feet of water. I circled around and monitored a school of small fish, Blue Gill I'm guessing. I got a few more bumps on the drop shot but no takers. I believe the BG couldn't get the #4 octopus in their mouth. I was on a Bass only mission this morning so I didn't change up. Anyways, left with nothing.

Oh man Jerdon, that sucks but all good....skunks just make us that much better the next time out! way to get out there...wish i was on the water!

Water capacity I heard is at 50% volume , Once I get this tube situation taken care of I will be out there to break her in and slay some bass .. Monday Here I come !! Jerdon good time to mark spots I was up the other day just walking the dogs , as all there doing is eating and sleeping and we are all going to get fat lol ...

Had nice encounter with a coyote , but he wanted nothing to do with my boxer and pitbull , ha ha ha

I picked that boat up on my FF back in Feb.

Lol cool. I'll have to remember that in 5 yrs or so when the water level is back up unless they decide to start doing clean up work now that the water is this low

There was also a few spots in the launch area where a tractor was submerged lol , once the water started dropping you could see the orange of the back hoe

oh dang that's low, I guess this is the time to go do some recon before the water level goes back up.

Dang that water is low , that back hoe was about 1000. ft right in front of that tree second to the left was sitting in 6-7' of water last time i was in that area . That thing was submerged for years there. would always hold big fish on it that loved the jigs

I will be game to hit the lake up Monday . New Tube coming today ! Will Recon a few areas before going .

I talked to a Ranger and she said it has not been this low since they were filling it. The project on the dam combined with the drought is really taking its toll here.

Wes- Do you let your dogs run free while at LP? How do they get along with other dogs..like my two friendly 90 lb Goldens?
