Headed out to Perris this past Saturday and hit the water 6:30 am. Water has warmed up but I still wear my breathable waders as I was planning on fishing in the sticks.

I get down to the east end and work the bushes and I have two fish hook up but the first one throws the hook as it is jumping and the second one breaks me off in the bushes after giving me a spectacular show jumping and shaking her head.
I go into the little channel and work the mouth as there are a lot of boats working the cat tails. I catch two out there.
Typical size, same fish different angles. I didn't get a pic of the 2nd one as the hook had popped out close to her eye and I wanted to get her back into the water ASAP.

I then head over to the tullies on the north shore to if there are any pan fish being caught. There are a lot of shoreline guys wading out into the water working jigs and red worms and they say the bite is still off and on.
I make another run east and one of my lines gets fouled and I just throw my dead stick out and work on getting everything untangled and the dead stick goes bendo. Another 2 pounder is landed.
Water temps have now reached 70^ and I have three fish for the day.
The east end has been getting a lot of fishing pressure the past couple of weeks but still is productive.
As I am walking to my car with my gear two Rangers drive up and ask if I caught anything. I tell them three and they ask if they could see them. I explained that I C&R and they tell me that they have been catching people with over limits and short fish. I'm glad to see them checking but kind of wish that they would have gone down to the shore to check licenses and fish also. At least they are out there on the weekends.
