Area fished: Boat Launch
Air Temp: 55 to 65
Water Temp 68  
Water Clarity 3  feet  
Depth Shoreline to 23 feet deep
Time 7:00 AM to 11:00


I hit Perris this morning at 7AM. When I got there the wind was blowing pretty steady. It was enough to make launching a little work. Overcast, chop on the water, and I'm getting splashed before I could sit down. I was thinking I was going to have to kick hard all day, but it just slowed down little by little till it was calm. The water level is up another foot or better from last week. I threw buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, top waters, I dropped Senkos, Texas rigs, but the only thing that worked for me was the Robo Hologram Shad on the drop shot.
I hooked up 3 and lost one at the tube.

All 3 fish caught in 5 to 8 feet of water and all were 13 to 15 inches long.

nice Jerdon , better then me today . i arrived at 6am got my tube checked in and launched it was windy as heck .  1 here and i had all the bass boats on me this morning , but not 1 shore fisherman or any other tubers .. got a call right before 9 and i had to  headout to pick someone up . wind was still blowing good then .  my  Fish came on the Roboworm as well (oxblood) missed 2 other hits , had 1 slam the drop shot so hard it was peeling drag in the holder , soon as i grabbed the rod it let go  

BTW make sure you let them know you have your tube on you .  they can write citations for not checking in . most of the time to clear yourself faster just keep your previous check in sheet they give you and they will just push you through .

Sounds good , the bite has been really good .. let me know what day i maybe able to join you . my days off every week are constantly changing like next week i have friday and saturday off

The state parks are worried about the Quagga Muscle. They have been checking boats, but they are starting to check the pool toys too. I read a report a while back of a tooner getting turned out from Silverwood because of dried mud on the bottom of his toon.

WTG Jerdon, Man I have been itching to hit LP myself but this thing called work is really getting into my fishing time I think I'm gonna have to do a ninja sess sometime time this week and take care of that nasty itch

I know what you mean bro...Work, family. It’s been a challenge getting my tube out on the water lately
I've had to hit up the park pond by my pad to scratch that itch. You ever catch an 10+lb common carp on 3lb test...yeah man!
Still rather bass fish from my tube!!

I can make the 23rd but, 6:30   7:00 is more in my wheelhouse. It will be pretty busy because of the three day weekend. The good news is the dam is closed to foot traffic so we can troll along there.

23rd works i am off that Friday and Saturday   ,  I hope you all are ready to catch some Fish !  the dam has been off the hook , as well as tire reef on south side of island

Reaction bite has been great and top water is Heating up I will admit my last few trips i have been following the panfish and only bringing my drop shot rod . I look forward to just a day of big bass fishing .... Time to bring the swimbaits back out , i said that was the bait i needed to work on and so i shall .
