Hit up Lake Perris today to finish off my Thanksgiving weekend. I picked up a new spinning reel yesterday and wanted to try it out today. I ended up catching 5 bass on the new reel.
All of them were decent size close to 2 lbs each. Tried a few different rigs today like the Tokyo and Ned rig. I got bit on the Tokyo rig but missed the hook set.
I've been fishing Perris pretty consistently over the past couple months. The main thing producing for me on the east end is drop shotting 4.5"-6" shad colored worms. Love to feel the tap tap then setting the hook.
The water was cold AF today and it was a little windy but I practically had the east end to myself. Glad to see the crowds at Perris disappearing.
We all have our reasons why we love fishing. I love the solitude and peacefulness of fishing. It helps me forget about life for a little bit. Anyhow it's back to the rat race tomorrow. Here's some pics of today's participants.
