Friday morning Lake Perris report.
I launched from the boat ramp like EVERYBODY else. There is a mud ring around the lake making it a sticky launch, and all the ramps but one don't reach the water. Kayak and SUP guys that normally launch from Sail Cove were launching with me. We all heard that Bernasconi is now closed, but none of us had gone to take a look. The water is getting cooler each week, but the sun did come out strong today. It was still a little dark at 7 so I started with a the top water for no reason what-so-ever. I was dragging the split shot and it caught a nice 14 inch LM about forty yards out. I took her pic and sent her on her way.

I kept dragging the split shot and working the top water through the launch cove for a few misses on the spit shot. So I put the top water away and held on to the split shot and trolled to the island. I monitered a lot of bait fish from 15 to 25 feet deep on the way over. I landed one more LM with the split shot, but nothing worked for the next three hours. I couldn't get bit on the way back to save my life. Nice sunny day on the water tho.
Notes:
The weed-line is breaking up pretty good.
The boat I posted last week or so has been hauled off.
The Kayak guys told me there are two more sunken boats showing on the back side of the island.
