We all are aware of how bad we need water here in California and lake levels are getting worse. I was at Perris Lake Friday 2/20/15 to get a little casting time in on a new fly rod & reel and ran into DFG at the east end of the launch ramp drilling out hundreds of manzanita branches to be dropped in the lake because all the old structures are now above water. I would estimate at least 100 new structures are to be placed next week. The whole length of the launch ramp is loaded with branches, these are drilled and ready for cinder blocks to hold them to the bottom. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" />
These are the old structures that are now all above lake level, if you look in the distance you can see the launch ramp full of the new structures going in.

There were a few Bass being caught on Float Tubes and a few Bass from shore mostly on plastic worms. I thanked the DFG (name withheld) worker on behalf of all us fishermen and women, and was shocked to actually see in person some of our Fishing Licence fees and Tax dollars being put to use at Perris Lake DFG said the Lake will be filled back up to the original High Level as it was in the 1970's in about 2 1/2 years.
Good Fishing everyone!
