Well, our meet up at Perris got blown out this morning.
White caps and crazy wind at 7AM in Sail Cove.
I decided I was there and need to get in, so I launched from the relatively protected boat launch cove.
I estimated the wind to 600 MPH + or -
Water Temp 52
Water Clarity 4 feet
Depth 3 to 17 Feet
Time 7:00 AM to 10:30AM
8# Drop shot Robo Sculpin BabyBass
12# Reaction.......... Rapala CD Siver and Black
It was a little tricky to launch with all the wind so once I got situated I tossed the drop shot in 2 feet of water and started out. Before I got out from between the docks the pole bent I jerked it to set the hook and landed a nice pile of weeds and fishing line and a relatively new Super Duper in silver. I'm taking that as a good sign.
I kicked for the east bank to get under the wind and once there it was easier kicking. I really wasn't sure I could get there for a few minutes. As long as I stayed tight to the shore line it was survivable. I seen this hawk on the shore with a decent size bass so I figured I was in the right spot

On my first pass, straight out from my friend the hawk, I landed a nice little bass on the drop shot.

Then nothing for 2 hours. I made some changes till I found my Rapala CD in Silver and Black. And I found this guy.

I would recommend throwing your Raider colors to start off.
I hope this helps.
