I hope so buddy. It was pretty hairy for a bit, just hard to explain to someone who did not see or feel it.

once more. You FW guys knew there was going to be a thunder storm. you guys were even joking about getting struck by lightning and fish not counting that got hit. Even about using graphite rods. Its not SW guys fault that the ranger pulled you guys out. The ranger was only looking out for everyone so no one gets hurt and gets sued like Irvine lake did. And look how that turned out.. We SW guys experience the same weather and much more. But we didn't get pulled from the water. we did however got out the water early do to the really bad conditions. Sorry FW guys but the way I see it team SW won. At the end Jeff is going to make a decision. Sorry Jeff for putting you in a ruff spot.

Mother Nature and boat traffic we both had to deal, yeah SW guys had deal with the current but as a salty guy you can't be complaining about that. That's why you plan you launch spot to the tides.

We had all to deal with problems but the only thing is team FW didn't have a choice as they did get the big boot off the water.
Yes Wes & I did get lucky and didn't get kick off the water, so 1 member of the team had to fish against how many members of team salt? Remember guys, I wasn't on the team. I came to fish for fun.

Now you gotta look at both ways and not just as maybe a winning team or a losing team. If the cards were reversed what would you do?
From what I seen everyone from team FW showed up, rain or shine and looks like not all member for Team SW did.

Plus, there is no near by lakes that you can float tube so that option is out. With fishing the bay, you can get out and relaunch at a different.

Now as a outsider of the tournament this was not a equal match up.

Rematch should be done when access to fish able waters is allowed by authorities and not cause someone who is too scared of Mother Nature. That's my 2cent
Congrats to both teams who where able to connect with a few fish

Sorry Miller I can read and read rules . should I remind you when you said my hali wasn't allowed as the big fish of the day do to it not being a bass..lol

LMFAO congrats you can read & understand what you want.

Big deal I missed where he put that in, so again where are the excuses I put in on my post when I put facts about what happened?

Remember, I'm on "no" ones team here so stop worrying about little prize that you may win as I'm not eligible to win.

Miller before you go running your mouth anymore stop and start telling the truth. Four of the freshwater team watched you bob around about 1 hr after we got kicked off the lake. We never saw you catch a single thing. Not even when we got back in the water once the Rangers left. To top if off you bounced before we did.

I can  Attest Miller caught a Good amount of bass   , he was out there fishing for FUN , just like this Fish off was supposed to be Fun ..  Relax guys everything will be ok

LMFAO I'm sorry you are who again ? Oh wait never mind, I forgot one hit wonder. Here today and gone tomorrow. Dude your opinion doesn't mean jack S**t.

As far as you seeing me, there is no way in hell you could have seen me if the Rangers didn't even see us. 95% of my fish came from the dam area and I landed 2 more when you guys where some what in our area.

Truth hurts to some people I get it, seeing how this forum is turning into bunch of women.

Whatever people, I don't need to prove S**t to anyone here. I'm done with all BS
Thanks Wes, sorry you got out fished yesterday but I'll be back on the 1st.

Peace out.

Lol what ever makes you feel better miller. Just saying if you are going to brag about how hard core you are and how may fish you caught keep your story straight.

As for me being so called one hit wonder, man you don't even know me. I have been here on the forum from the beginning and have shared my knowledge with the members here.  It is people like you with the big ego and I am the best attitude that stopped me and many of the veteran members from being active.

I will leave on this note. If my opinion means jack then why do jeffcpr and other moderators ask my advice. Oh maybe could it be I know my stuff and have been in the fishing industry longer than you have been tubing?

Bit of advice miller, carry a note pad with you so you can jot down you lies and tales. It will help you keep then straight.

So first off I will say this I am so sorry that it did not work out better for all.  The weather was a tough deal for most that day.  I have thought long and hard about what we should do, but one thing keep coming to mind we need to stop the bleeding.  In the end it was a close match and had the waters in Perris stayed open the results would have been closer I am sure of it.  But team Saltwater did land more fish for the day.

Totals- FW / 14  SW - 19

It was amazing saltwater had so many more catches on the day but there code was not seen in most of the pictures only 19 that I could see.  I think there numbers would have been double had that code been seen.  Bigfish was one of 2 that were able to fish and the only member of both team that stayed on the water for the day.  He single handily  landed all 14 fish to put up a good fight for the Team Freshwater.  I did here there were some other catches from FW but never saw those pictures.  This could have gone either way as you can see.  I think mother nature truly won out and over all I am glad everyone stayed safe.  So we will say The Saltwater Killers are the winners of the Castmate 2015 Saltwater VS Freshwater fish off.

I am sure there are some that think it should be handled different and I understand but I really feel we need to stop the bleeding and move on from this.  So my call is Team Saltwater Killer win.  I really do feel that they could have won it if the weather had held out for both teams.  They did a great job and for all that were apart of this event thank you.  Freshwater don't worry you will get your shoot to win the title back sooner then later.

Now just a few picture of some of the catches on the day.

And the biggest fish goes to Two2 31" Hali just over 10 lbs. Thumbs Up

I'll say congrats to all those on salt and fresh teams that were able to stay the weather conditions and catch fish. And all those that didn't but still came out to give it a shot despite the weather props to you too cuz I know some of you drove over 60 miles to participate. Also want to give a thank you to Jerdon who kept team fresh water up to date on lake info and where to go I know it wasn't easy managing a bunch of guys especially when they don't all know each other or you. And sticking it out on shore to see if everyone made it back ok after the lake evacuation. Hopefully we can all try it again next year.

It Would be boring indeed if we could predict how things would turn out. What makes any sport exciting is the unknown factors. Given the right conditions even a lowball team can take a trophy.

Personally, I just don't see any losers! Think about it. Even the worst day of fishing is better than the best day at work!

The biggest winner on the day was me, IMHO. I got the chance to fish in a national tournament with some great guys. People around here treated me like I must be someone special to be able to participate in such a cool event. From the response around here I would say that our national tournament has great appeal!

I had a great day of fishing! And for the record I actually caught 17 legal Bass. One flipped out of my grip before I could snap a pic. One pic malfunctioned. And in the other pic it was blurry and you couldn't see the number. Fourteen is a great number for sure. I'm very happy. The personal best on this little lake is 19 (which was me)!

I am saddened by some of the events off of the water in regards to the tournament. Running this site takes an awful lot of time and effort by Jeffcpr. Pretty much his only reward is personal satisfaction. Everything he does for this forum takes away time from his career, time from his family and time from just plain fishing! Out of respect we owe it to Jeffcpr and the FTFF sponsors to conduct ourselves better. Enough on that subject.

Congratulations to Team Saltwater! Winners of the 2015 Saltwater vs Freshwater tournament. If I were there I'd let you buy the beer so we could celebrate! I would've loved winning one of those rod holders but I don't use them... I'm too busy holding my rod and reeling in fish! pirat

A personal Congrats to two2 for catching the biggest fish! I almost had you beat. I was so close to landing a huge catfish and at the last minute some woman with a shopping cart pushed me aside, winked at the butcher and bought it right out from under me! Oh well, there's always next year. That's what the pushy woman said anyways.
lol!

Looking forward to next year!

P.s. My tournament day report will go up today. If ya get time check it out.

I'm grateful to have just been a part of this competition, win or loose it was awesome to be out in the rough weather conditions and all it brought. Like BigFish stated...I also feel Im the big winner here! I fished with some top class salty's, learned a few tricks and tips on the water that morning, drove home with a smile and can't wait to get back out!
A big thanks to the Captains, way to stick by your teams and lead! To all the dedicated and competitive tubers willing to kick out knowing it was gonna be a grueling morning. Thanks Jeff for keeping the peace and all you do!

I say we do a friendly and a BBQ soon, any place any weekend Very Happy

BigFish included via FaceTime...great job in NE
