GT , I will be up on Wednesday the 8th . Seems the fish are moving in the grass , top water poppers in 2-10' seems to be big right now especially early over the high grass  (alot of 4-5lb class fish coming on this pattern)  .  other wise Bama Rig , swim jig , senko , crank bait , drop shot in that order in 14-17' getting bite .

Colors I am focusing on : Sexy Shad (crank) , Purples (Roboworm or Senko) , Popper (Foxy Shad)

Hard to say where to launch right now GT ,  I will be there on July 8th ... and I am going out of sail cove to the east side, out from the main restrooms towards the buoy line there . The water is sitting about 14-18' and the cover is good  (alot of tree, rock and grass mixed there)

As Jerdon Stated he has been out of the launch ramp a bit more recently and the spot is just not there right now ( spots are hammered quickly with lake Lice) and its turned into a washing machine lol

Bring an ultralite rig and white trout tube jigs. Just for fun if the bass don't wanna bite, or even if they do. Nothing more fun than a 1 or 2 lb Redear or BG on 2 lb test!

This is the reason you should bring along an ultralight outfit to Perris… They are biting pretty good now..  They may not jump like bass do, but they sure put up a great fight![You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Adding Patterns and Conditions i fished in today : got pulled out early , had to go help the family
A/O : Sailcove
Time Fished : 6:45 - 8:45
Weather : mid 70  , Cloudy
Water Temp : 73 degrees
Clarity : 8'
Fish Count 7 -  LMB

Take into account the conditions will change , this is kind of a guide for my conditions today

Techniques used  : from most productive to least
- Square Bill KVD Crankbait  2.5 and 6xd   -- Color Sexy Shad : 4 lmb caught
- Dirty Jigs California Swim Jig --  1/2oz  (Crappie)  with a Culprit Minnow Swimbait 4" Smoke silver shad trailer : 2 LMB Caught
- Drop Shot  : Roboworm  - Morning Dawn and Oxblood red flake 4"  : 1 LMB Caught , 3 lost due to it sitting in the holder and being bite while on with other fish  lol
- Alabama Rig :  Yumbrella  , 4" Keitech Swing Impact FAT Swimbaits  : 1 lost

Checked the East end upon Request , 4-5ft total depth nothing but grass end to end

- Will be heading back out again Saturday the 11th to test the weekend crowd Thumbs Up   , all prep guys

Finally met up with GT this morning.
Dark clouds and a gusty breeze to full on wind gusts when we arrived. We decided to scrap SailBoat cove in favor of hiding in the boat launch cove. When the wind backed off we kicked to the Island. GT stuck first with a nice little bass on the Green Senko

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Gt struck second on the way back with another nice Perris bass

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I , on the other hand , could not set the hook all day. I did lose a beauty right at the tube. And recon went well.
