It's so easy to catch decent bass. All you have to do is cast out and set your rod down to have a bite of sandwich and a sip of soda. When your line suddenly gets tight and then your rod bends down, fish on! But seriously, I saw my line tightening up, but I thought it was just the breeze turning the boat, but when I picked up the rod to check, I felt that heavy tugging that large bass feel like when they take you bait. Super fun long fight on the little panfish rod. This pic is from last year, but I don't think I ever posted it here.. Not a giant fish compared to what most of you guys have caught, but I'll take a 6 pounder on ultralight tackle any time! Not too shabby for an old Bluegill fisherman..if I do say so myself!
