Hi everyone, I've been reading for awhile and posted a couple question already so I figured I should introduce myself.
With the help of this forum I purchased a Cumberland float and Colorado XT a couple months ago. I found the Cumberland pretty easy to use. Having done allot of scuba diving I found that I felt pretty comfortable using the fins on these. I haven't done much to mod it other then to add a Scotty rod holder.
The Pontoon I used for the first time a couple weeks ago. I have a Minn Kota on it and I instantly discovered I needed a swivel seat to use it so this week I made that modification and I also added a high back boat seat to it.
Other then that I'm a lousy fisherman. I've randomly fished since I was a kid and I started fly fishing about 10yrs ago. I then moved and started a new job and my fishing became the seldom trolling on a buddies boat or taking my daughter out for some trout using a bobber and worm, she was always good luck. I've done a bit of Salmon and rock fishing off Fort Bragg. Recently I've kind of jumped back into it with both feet trying to learn all types of fishing including trying to learn how to actually fly fish. The last couple weeks I've had allot of luck jigging well kind of, I've been aiming for perch but all I seem to catch is trout which I release. I did catch my biggest trout at 12lbs, it was a fun fight.
So that about sums it up and I wanted to say thanks for providing some much needed knowledge.
