I mostly fish for bass but also enjoy fishing for other species and use Trout Magnets when I'm fishing for trout, Bluegill, and crappie I have even caught bass on them I think they are great lures. I use the jig heads on live bait such as wax worms, meal worms and crickets. They also work great on 1 inch gulp minnows for trout and crappie.

I used them, never caught any trout with them. I was catching nothing but crappie, I still have them in my tackle box.

What up. Years ago when I didn't fish by fly the majority of the time, a good friend and I used Trout Magnets almost exclusively in the Sierras for like 3 to 4 years straight. They were our 'Go to' offering. They flat out work. We caught Rainbows, Browns, Cutty's, and Brooks with TM's. On a river or creek setting, just use an indicator on top and tie it onto the Gold TM jig head , cast upstream, and let it drift naturally down the zone with no drag. From a Tube or shoreline, we would use the Gold TM jigheads, cast them out, count down the sink times until you find your suitable depth and slowly start giving them little twitches or pops. Between each twitch, allow the TM's to start sinking again before twitching again. Most of the grabs come on the sink. Motor Oil, White, black, Orange were my favorite colors. Good luck!

Love them for trout in lakes but even more in rivers and streams. Been known to catch crappie on them too and bass on the crappie magnets. I usually add one berkley crappie gem to them to give them a little scent/taste. Really fun to sight fish with them.
