Location: LAB
Session: 0530 hrs to 1300 hrs
Sun Rise: 0543 hrs, Grey Light: 0500 hrs.
Tackle Used: 3" BH and DS 3" watermelon minnow
Tidal Conditions: outgoing tide 0440 2.9', 0540 2.0', 0640 1.2', 0740 0.6', 0840 LT 0.5', 0940 incoming tide 0.7', 1040 1.3'.
Water Temp:68 deg, the water is getting warmer.
Air Temps: 62 - 75 deg. Pt cloudy until 0330 then it cleared. Had to search for shaded areas to fish.
iSolunar Prediction: 2-fish were predicted, the Major Period 0524 to 0724 hrs, Minor Period 1008 to 1138 hrs.
The bite was almost a repeat of Sat, with my first legal Sandy at 0540 hrs and then not another until 0700 hrs.
I shared all of my newly found hot spots with my buddy Jason (my friend and float tube fishing instructor) and he ended up slaying some real hogs!! We had a blast out there, and most of the fish were of outstanding quality. We put the wood to them!!
My Fish Count: (only one pic of each species and not all legals shown),
(4) Spotted Bay bass aka: Grumpy, (2) were legals.

(2) Short Hali's aka: Pancakes

(2) Sand Bass aka: Turd Roller, (1) was legal. I didn't get the pic of the legal.

Some added pic's for your pleasure:
We were swarmed by an armada of what seemed to be 25-30 warship type yaks! lol

Here's Jason with one of his SBB TOADS!! He had mostly focused on the Jika rig today and the drop shot rig was used as his back up.

And here I am
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I like to put my Shimano 6'-8" Crucial drop shot stix in the swiveling rod holder and drop it straight down to where it just touched the bottom and then I dentally work the 3" Big Hammer "Spotty Special" on a 3/16oz Hammer Head on my other Shimano 6'-8" Crucial drop shot stix and shoot my swimmie back into all the tight and or narrow spots between the boats and their docks using the "shooting the dock" method of casting at the same time. It's like aiming a bow and arrow, it's really effective and precise.
