AO: LAB (9-fish, 3-species solo session)
Session: I was wet at 0530 hrs but didn't really launch until 0600 hrs and fished until 11:00 AM.
Sun Rise: 0623 hrs, Grey Light: 0550 hrs.
Tackle Used: 3" BH Spotty Special on a 3/16oz chartreuse Hammerhead w/ 2/0 hook, and the Drop-Shot rig w/ a Gamakatsu size 2/0 Offset Shank Worm EWG hook and a 5" Zoom Salty Super Fluke White Ice.
Tidal Conditions: incoming tide 0530 3.2', 0630 3.7', 0724 HT 3.8', outgoing tide 0830 3.6', 0930 3.3', 1030 2.7'.
Water Temp: 66 deg.
Air Temps: 63 - 74 deg. Cloudy sky's. Late morning burn off to pt cloudy, then clear by 1100 hrs..
iSolunar Prediction: 2-fish were predicted, the Major Period: 0728 to 1028 hrs.

Good eye there Jerdon ... I did the free lamination at work without the roller.
Yesterday after fishing, I headed over to Office Depot and made a new placard and had it laminated correctly.
it has since been re-installed onto my lap tray.

Yesterday, I had also drilled (4) four drain holes thru my plastic corrugated lap tray for better drainage.

FISH WHISPERER ......
My trick to the fish photos is to simply hypnotize the fish or just allow time for the fish to completely relax.

It's tail will slowly lay down flat and at the very moment with my hand still applying enough soft pressure on the fish (not enough to make it tense up again), and at that moment I have my camera ready ... positioned straight above my bump-board with finger on the shutter button.

At that very moment I have all this in the pic:
a) the bump-board with the fish pressing against it,
b) the tail of the fish on the board with measurements showing + a few inches,
c) the Tourney placard,
d) the species clearly identifiable'
I immediately move my hand and press the shutter button.

And if they don"t calm down:
I leave the hook in there mouth until the photo.
Just in case they want to jump .... and they will jump indeed! Last weekend I hoisted my one legal back on board 3-times ... I got my pic! Thumbs Up

With jittery fish I maintain just enough fingers (minimum) in the photo to hold them down for a qualifying photo.

Jeff ..... As long as you (the judges) can see everything clearly that you need to see ..... would a few fingers in the photo be acceptable to the judges to qualify the jittery fish pic??

Side note: Jeff, can we get some emoticons of fish and bent rods with fish on the end of the fishing lines.
We need some fishing related emoticons ...... please.
