Solo session today.

FYI ... at the beginning of each of my sessions and once I get all of my gear and my self all settled-in into my FT and I'm ready to launch ... I always try to take a moment for some calming thoughts and then to consciously remember how truly BLESSED I am, to be here today, for I am truly blessed and fortunate indeed!

Gray light: 0550 hrs
Miles Kicked On FT: 1.58 miles
Calories Burnt: Approx 587 if we had been walking so I'm going to guess approx 800+ calories burnt today.
Swell: SW
Air Temp: 69 deg to 74 deg, cloudy mild sky's w/ a marine layer that didn't begin to burn off until 0945 hrs.
Water Temp: 71-74 deg
Session Duration: 0500 hrs until 1000 hrs (5 hrs).
Sun Rise: 0622 Hrs, Sun Set: 1927 hrs.
Wind: 0600 hrs 1-2-mph S, 1200 hrs 7-mph SSW.
CE: 78 in the morning, a higher average
Bait Presence: massive amounts of 1-3" bait and bait balls in the water everywhere.
I had a Hali cough these out ...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Sea Dog Presence: 12 twelve, (3) massive harbor Bulls and (9) moms and or Juvenal
Sea Bird Presence: just a few diving birds
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Dolphin Presence: none to report.
Surf: 1-2 ft, Swell: 0.9 ft, Sec's Between Sets: 14
Large Leaf Kelp Beds: Due to the warm water they have once again begun dying off and are beginning to disappear for the season.
Tidal Conditions: 0500 hrs 0.0 ft, 0600 hrs 1.0 ft, 0700 hrs 2.1 ft, 0800 hrs 3.2 ft, 0900 hrs 3.9 ft, 1012 HT 4.3 ft, 1100 hrs 4.1 ft ... etc.
Isolunar: Minor period from 0447 hrs until 0616 hrs.  <"))>< <"))>< <"))>< <"))><
Bait used: 3/8 oz Sardine Green Silver and 3/8 oz Glow Green Silver, 1/4 oz Sardine Green Silver colored HUB's with Bio-Edge scent along with Hot Sauce.

Note: SEE THE WHITE ... I was concerned with these poorly poured HUB's but they actually performed perfectly and
my grumpy frown had actually ended-up turning to a smile by the end of my session.  Smile
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Don't be alarmed ... the brown is scent that I had squirt inside the HUB's. lol

Equipment used: for fishing in LAH today,
My rod selections were my St Croix BassX and my St Croix AvidX, both are rated 6-12#, 6'-8", 1-pc.
On both of my Shimano Stradic Ci4 2500 reels, I used Diawa Samurai #30 braid (8 carrier) line w/ a 5 ft long 15 lb Seaguar InvizX Fluorocarbon leader while using the RP knot in order to connect (tie) the fluorocarbon and braid together and the Improved Cinch knot for tying-on the bait.

My 3rd rod selection was my B"n"M SharpShooter, rated 4#-8#, 6'-6", 1-pc.
On my Shimano Stradic Ci4 2500 reel, I used Diawa Samurai #30 braid (8 carrier) line w/ a 5 ft long 12 lb Seaguar InvizX Fluorocarbon leader while using the RP knot in order to connect (tie) the fluorocarbon and braid together and the Improved Cinch knot for tying-on the bait.

SP Dan's Fish Count: 27 fish total, 4-different species, 1 legal while fishing on the "SS Stitch":

(1) Sculpin 7 1/4"
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

(16) short Spotty's, the best (2) were 13 3/4", most were 12" to 13"+
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

(7) Sandy's, best was a 14"+ legal
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

(3) short Hali's, best 20 1/2"

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Note: I only post one of each species unless there are multi legals, PB's or NS (new species).
PS ... I am a 100% catch and release sportsman ... and FYI I only show photo's of the fish and not of me because it's all really about the fish folk's.  Cool

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to view my posting!

Thanx Jerdon,

I find that each harbor is different Jerdon and I find that intriguing to say the least.
There are those that run straight to the honey holes to fish each and every time, but they never experience the entire fishery, they don't learn a thing and they miss out on all of the possibilities to learn and experience what the harbor has to offer.

So every time I head back into a familiar harbor, I try to fish it in new ways and in new areas that I haven't tried before.
Keeping it fresh and interesting while attempting to locate the seasonal fish hold-ups during the ever changing conditions.
Fish do migrate around according to the sun and moon movements and during the four seasons. Right?! Thumbs Up
