I want to comment on my "Komori Rig". This is basically a set-up to use while float tubing, while either slowly kicking along or drifting with the wind. It's a great method to find groups of fish if you don't have a fish or depth sounder. I often use this rig when I am taking a break and eating while my rod sets secure in a 45 degree rod holder, or while I am using another rod casting lures for bass, bluegill, trout or whatever. It also is a great set-up for catfishing. By moving your bait around close to the bottom, you cover way more territory than just letting it sit still on the bottom. Sometimes catfish prefer a moving bait. Also the weight I use is a good sized, lightly crimped on round split shot. If it gets hung up on the bottom, it will just slide off with steady pressure. You save losing your expensive hook. Split shot are cheap.

Thanks for this magazine!

I actually found back issues of the magazine when I first started researching about float tubing, and read every one. If you're hoping to inspire new people to join the sport, you definitely helped me get going. Very Happy

We can't be on the water all the time, but we can still be involved in the sport when we read and think about it. For me, half the fun of getting out there is planning my attack and these sorts of articles get the juices going so, thanks again!

Thanks a lot Bob that is very kind of you. I agree I am not able to float tube fish like crazy, but I still can contribute. This sport is due for some much needed hype and I think we can make it happen, we just need to talk it up and show people and the fishing industry what we have to offer. Thumbs Up

The lure color article was my favorite this time out. I still am unsure of a consistent message tho.
Another great mag Jeff thanks for putting in the work.

I'm sorry Jeff, I meant to also pat you on the back on a very good job with the on-line mag. Very informative, and I, like Jerdon really enjoyed the article on lure colors. Want to wish you and your family a great Christmas!

I always been fascinated with how each harbor fishery reacts differently to particular colors in one harbor versus another harbor .... so, your well written article on the "lure colors" and the visual change of the lures as it dropped deeper into the water with the deeming of light was my favorite.

Next was the article on "Safety First And Always" really got my gray matter excited and thinking.
Since your article, I now carry a safety whistle and I've also gone as far s to attach (3) light beacons (red, green & clear) to my float tube for the dark hours of fishing when near moving boats.

I found your articles to be educational and helpful. Thumbs Up

Thanx
