Tidal Conditions: incoming tide 0630 3.3', 0730 4.1', 0830 4.9', 0930 5.4', 1021 HT 5.6', outgoing tide 1130 5.3', 1230 hrs 4.5'.
Ocean Swell: WNW / NW
Water Temp: surface: 54 deg and extremely (gin) clear with great depth in water visibility.
Skys: Pt cloudy but mostly clear.
Clothing Gear: SoCal board-shorts weather.
Bait: Did not notice any signs of bait.
Birds: A few pelagic birds here and there ... but no diving going on.
Harbor Dogs: 2 harbor seal juveniles.
Wind: light / to moderate offshore 9 - 6 mph
Air Temps: 50 deg at 0745 hrs and 70 deg at 1300 hrs.
iSolunar Prediction: 3-fish were predicted, the Minor Period: 0831 to 1001 hrs.
Distance Covered: 1.75 miles. Calories Burnt: 725
Tackle Used: 3" BH Bay Smelt on a 3/16oz chartreuse; and plan, Hammerhead w/ 2/0 hook, and the Drop-Shot rig w/ a Gamakatsu size 2/0 Offset Shank Worm EWG hook and a 5" Zoom Salty White Ice Fluke with a 1/2 oz finesse weight and I used the shooting-the-dock form of cast shooting using both the 1/4oz Sardine Green / Silver HUB.
I use Hot Sauce scent on everything.
I was first met by this at launch ...

SP Dan's fish count: (22) fish with 2 qualifying Sand Bass, 2nd Species (2) Barracuda and the 3rd Species (1) Halibut for the extra points.
