Newport paid off today

I got a Hall Pass from my wife last night and I quickly packed my gear and headed for Newport only 5 hours later. I got in the water at the CG station at about 6:30 and did my usual route. The first one came quick with in the 1st 20 minutes, and from there on I was hooking up often.
I fished from 6:30 In coming tide till 11:30 the very start off the out going tide. I ended up landing 12 fish, 11 were Spotties and 1 was a shot butt, only lost 3 the whole day. For me this was a very good day on the water. I also finally got a chance to try out the Contour action camera, I have one adjustments to make but I am very happy with it so far. I will try to post a video later.
