2 days of golden trout

had to go on tues. & thurs. brought home 15 fish in total. the biggest was 8 1/2 in. pretty good size for golden trout! MAN were they tastey! with any luck we will have to go next week for another day. little bit of work so hubby can fish to!

That looks like she had a blast great job guys, she looks hooked for life.

she LOVES to play in PAPA's boat! looks through all the boxes( very careful of all the hooks) and helps to sort out the worms (a lillte OCD runs in the family)
if you check out the photos on our site you can see her first fish, a 2 lb. bass that she got on a crappie jig. pappa made sure she didn't drop the pole but she brought it in all by her self!

Nice, pretty little guys. Yeah a 8.5 is quite a big one for goldens! I never cleaned one what color is the meat?

they were white meat.
these are the only fish i like to eat. they don't taste as "fishy" as some others.

Man I have not cleaned and eaten any fish I have caught sence I was like 10 years old.
I should try it just once for my kids.

yes you should!!!

I should be teaching them all about fishing not just how to catch but what to keep and how to clean it and get it ready.
Man I wounder if I can even remember how to do it it has been so long.
