4 Day Gathering who's in

A few years back we had talked about taking a group of 20 float tubers into Oregon to fly fish a private lake. Well, I am back on the kick again and would like to see who would be interested in doing this. I am looking at late June or early July (as this is my school break).

This would be a 2 to 4-day event the water would be all ours for that time. There would be options for guided services (extra cost) and we would be doing what is called Glam Camping, with meals provided. Of course, there is a cost and at this points, we have been offered a discount of this $250 per person if under 20 and $200 per person if 20 or over. the normal cost is $350 per Person so that is a saving of $100 to $150 per person I don't think that is a bad deal at all.

The other hope is we can land a few companies to come out and fish with us. They would be able to bring their products and demonstrate them for us as well as offer their insight on their items. This is all in the planning stages but I really feel that we could make this happen. I think if it goes well we could also make this annual event and maybe try different locations from time to time as well. What are your thoughts, everyone?

Is this lake for fly fishing only? I have very little experience  fly fishing. Would someone be there to  help?

Yes fly fishing only and there would be some one there for basic instruction. You can also purchase a guide for furthwr insttuction if you like.

What exactly are the accommodations and food?
Is there a website for the lake?

Definitely need a lot more information before making a decision.

It is $250 each for the trip i am sure of it but i will double check. It is going to be at a place called Grindstone Lake. It will be Glamping they call it. Tall wall tents with carpet and beds. Food will be provided which will be BBQ style. I will get the website up soon for everyone to got to sorry for the delay on getting back to everyone.

Hey GT, when fly fishing a lake most of the time I'm just slow trolling a fly with a sink tip line or a sinking leader on a floating line. You really don't need great casting skills.

I think this is true we are on the water there is not much need to cast. Or at least say cast pretty.

Guys this is still on the table and I am talking to companies to maybe come out and spend some time with us and bring there product.  I am hoping that we can get at least 2 companies, and FloatPlus expressed some interest in the idea.  I will also  be working on Seven Bass, and Fishfindermounts as well.
The goal is to make this an annual trip if it all goes well and branch out to travel to other parts of the U.S.  Who else is going to be interested in making this trip with us.

Have you gotten that price locked in?

Ok so got some more details turns out the cost is per day. But thy dropped it to $200 from $250. I am think this is an no go unless we go for 2 days instead of 4. What are your thoughts.

I am going to look at some other alternatives does anyone have any places they know of that we can contact and try to set something up.
