Mity might fishing poles.

Who has heard of Mity Might Fishing Poles. Looks like a simple ice fishing pole and decent reel. They are using them to catch some pretty big fish. What do you think would the be useful on the float tube? I think so but what do you guys think.

I was given an ice fishing pole a few years ago. You can use it to drop shot or just let a lure of your choice hang straight down beneath you. However, there is no use to cast with it at all so it is a one trick pony.
For me everything on the tube needs to do a few tricks.

I could catch fish with an ol' empty beer can (belch!!    burp!!) with fishing line wrapped around it but I wouldn't attempt to do this on my float tube. Maybe yours!

I prefer to control the fish further away from my tubes and to land it when I have the fish positioned under control  with my 6'-8" stix and when I also know that my tubes are safe.

Burrr! ... float tube ice fishing! Teeth clattering!! The thought of it! lol

There's a whole "mini pole challenge" deal on YouTube with lots of guys catching big fish. I have some Barbie pole footage I'm going to post eventually. Personally, I consider using anything other than my regular gear a stunt, only done for the laughs.

Ya, I am thinking I would like to try at least once for the heck of it. But you are right there in whole challenge going on out there.
