I was given a boat and a personal pontoon, and between the two I haven’t done any float tubing for quite some time.
As is usually the case with any free boat, there is always some work that needs doing and these were no exception. So they’ve taken up some time.

Add to that, I got another job (hopefully the last I’ll ever have) and, well ... there frankly hasn’t been much fishing done.
My plan for the future is this:

- About the end of May, the water warms up to the point where waders are not needed.
- it also gets so damned hot that being partly in the water is preferable to anything else.

So I’ll be using my float tube for summertime activities. Up early, quick trip to the lake, and fish for three or four hours until the midday furnace cranks up. Then head home for lunch.

Congrat's dayhut on possibly the last job you'll hopefully ever need. It's a good feeling indeed!
Your time has been used up well in other interests and we're glad to hear that you'll be back to FT fishing as well again! Thumbs Up

Hopefully some great fish reports from you will follow soon!  Cool

Thanks Dan.
So far I haven’t hit on any fish in my main waters.
A few bites and nibbles, but that’s about it.
I could probably do better if I laid down the fly rod, but it’s grown on me.

Make that lake harbor and that's my plan for the summer too!

Looking forward to your reports!
