Solo session today.
First things first ... I started my session with a quite moment, allowing myself some calming thoughts and to connect with Him. Let the session begin!
Gray light: 0550 hrs
Miles Kicked On FT: 1.14 miles
Calories Burnt: Approx 562 if we had been walking so I'm going to guess approx 800+ calories burnt today.
Swell: NW
Air Temp: 67 deg to 78 deg, Pt cloudy mild sky's w/ a marine layer that didn't begin to burn off until 0800 hrs.
Water Temp: 68-70 deg
Session Duration: 0700 hrs until 1200 hrs (5 hrs).
Sun Rise: 0624 Hrs, Sun Set: 1922 hrs. The days are definitely getting shorter!
Wind: 0600 hrs 1-2-mph S, 1200 hrs 7-mph SW.
CE: 83 in the morning, a higher average
Bait Presence: massive amounts of 1-3" bait and bait balls in the water everywhere.
Sea Dog Presence: 2 two
Sea Bird Presence: just a few diving birds
Dolphin Presence: none to report.
Surf: 1-2 ft, Swell: 1.1 ft, Sec's Between Sets: 15
Large Leaf Kelp Beds: Are shrinking due to the warmer waters and they have once again begun dying off and are beginning to disappear for the season.
Tidal Conditions: 0500 hrs 0.5 ft, 0542 hrs LT 0.4 ft, 0700 hrs 0.8 ft, 0800 hrs 1.8 ft, 0900 hrs 3.2 ft, 0900 hrs 2.8 ft, 1000 3.7 ft, 1100 hrs 4.4 ft, 1200 HT 4.6 ... etc.
Isolunar: Minor period from 0447 hrs until 0616 hrs.

Bait used: 3/8 oz Sardine Green Silver and 3/8 oz Mint, 1/4 oz Sardine Green Silver colored HUB's with Bio-Edge, Pro-Cure and Hot Sauce scents.

My rod selections were my St Croix BassX and my St Croix AvidX, both are rated 6-12#, 6'-8", 1-pc.
On both of my Shimano Stradic Ci4 2500 reels, I used Diawa Samurai #30 braid (8 carrier) line w/ a 5 ft long 15 lb Seaguar InvizX Fluorocarbon leader while using the RP knot in order to connect (tie) the fluorocarbon and braid together and the Improved Cinch knot for tying-on the bait.
My 3rd rod selection was my B"n"M SharpShooter, rated 4#-8#, 6'-6", 1-pc.
