Fishing Los Alamitos 9/9/2018

If any one wants to join me Ill be fly fishing Los Alamitos Bay on Sunday the 5th.  Ill try to get there around 520 to be on the water by 6 am.

Today I headed out of the house at 5 am and was on the water by 540. I used my 7 wt with a sink tip. I find it harder to cast at pilings due to my fear of hitting a boat. So I try to either roll cast or just troll around. I ended up with a total of 15 fish. I hit the Salt water Bass trifecta and caught a Mackerel for the first time.Most of the fish were dinks with the exception of 3 spotties that were nice specimens All in all a good day. The water temperature is now 68 degrees so Im assuming fall is right around the corner.
