A frind and I decided to head out last night and fish LAB, The wind is not a Float tubes friend...LOL We launched from 68th st and that turned out to be way more difficult than I imagined. Of course I never launched in 15-20 mph winds with that much chop on the water. We decided this was not a smart idea and decided to walk down the beach a ways and launch where crossing to naples is not as far. We were able to use the island as shelter and fish the docks, this turned out to be the right choice. I caught 7 fish at the island 5 spotties and two sandies. The biggest right at 14. About 1030 the wind died down to a manageable 10 mph and we were able to kick to one of our favorite spots the docks and rocks where the Enterprise use to dock. This spot only produced two fish for me in the little bit we fished it. We were off the water about midnight. It was a slow day but productive and despite the wind and cold we had a great night on the water. Learned a valuble lesson last night, float tubing in anything over about 10 miles an hour is a chore and thankfully the king tide was in the morning. Final tally was nine fish six spotties 3 sandies. Here are a few pics
