LAH, Sat 9-14-2019.

My 60th session this season.

Location: Los Alamitos Bay (LAB)
Duration: 06:00 hrs until 8:45 hrs (2.75 hrs)
Sun Rise: 06:35 hrs

The skies were thick with dense fog at 0600 hrs
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
It's already quite the task to time the crossing of the channels on a clear day ... dodging the moving boats, ships, team racing canoes, swimmers and SUP's speeding thru the channel .... now add dense fog to the equation ... FORGET IT!!!

I could hear the people talking on their boats as they motored past me by in the dense fog ... I decided to stay close to the LAYC wall today.

I never did cross the channel today, I just played it safe on this day.

Gray Light: never happened due to fog.
Sun Set: 18:59 hrs, I'm enjoying the long days of light before they are gone again.
Moon Phase: Waning Gibbous.
Tidal Conditions: 06:00 hrs 1.1 ft,
07:00 hrs 2.1 ft, 08:00 hrs 3.2 ft, 09:00 hrs 4.2 ft, 10:00 hrs 4.8 ft, 10:42 hrs HT 5.0 ft, 12:00 hrs 4.5 ft  ... etc.
Air temperatures during session: temps ranging from 68 deg to 72
deg.
Water temperatures: 74 deg
Wind: 06:00 hrs 3 mph WSW, 12:00 hrs 5 mph SSW.
Water clarity: translucent green.
Water Visibility: 3-4 ft
Tidal Coefficient: (CE) 85 in the morning, this is a higher rate and considered a stable rate.
iSolunar Prediction: Minor Period: 07:03 hrs until 08:33 hrs.
(4 out of 4 possible) <"))>< <"))>< <"))>< <"))><
Sea Dogs: (0) none to report
Dolphin: (0) none to report
Pelagic Bird Activity: none to report
Bait Presence: very good signs of bait, schools of shiners surrounding me,  predator fish chasing them and making them jump out of the water during the chase!
Distance kicked: 0.97 miles
Calories Burnt: 317 calories, if walking.

SP Dan's Tackle Used: 1/4oz Sardine Green/Silver and a new 1/4ozHUB color not being sold to the public yet. 3/8oz Sardine Green/Silver, colored HUB's .... All REPLACEMENT SKINS.
SP Dan's fish count for this morning: 4-fish, 3-species, 0 legal.
(2) CDFW short Spotty's: best 11"[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
(1) CDFW short Sandy's: 9 1/2"[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (1) CDFW short Calico: 7"[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Looks like you caught them all in the dark.

Good on you for getting out there.

Thanks for sharing

Yay ... I didn’t see the sun all morning long, so it remained on the dark side that day.
The water was actually warmer than the air. Shocked

By all the predictions available to us, I thought that LAB would have been the hotspot on that day! Go figure!  Very Happy lol

The bass trifecta. Great job on a very slow day. Its always better to play it safe in the fog. At least you got out there and made it happen. Almost took you up on the offer but still battling this shoulder thing. Wasn't abel to get out there. Of of these weekend days i will get out there with you. Need to rub more mojo off on old stitch Very Happy

Yeah I know what you mean about your elbow, I’m still dealing with tennis elbow from landing the 37 inch halibut with just my right arm, it all but wrecked my arm.

I just won’t let it slow me down.

When you’re all mended up to it, let me know and will make that session happen
