Perris is closed to vehicles.

You can walk or bike in. You can fish from shore. I am not sure if they will let a tube on the water if you hike in.

Jeff I’m just a creature of habit and I repeat over and over again when it works.
All I’m doing is the same thing over and over again but on another day with another opportunity to get to know the fish, no matter what kind of fish it is.

The halibut seem to find me, I do nothing different. 😎 lol

the halibut smell dan or something. i have been in same area with dan, casting roughly the same thing and dan gets a halibut and i get no halibut lol. the one trip to newport dan got 3, i got 1 and mine was tiny.

Nice work Dan.

I’m going to tie some flys to match that color of HUB you’ve been using.

Most the salt water flys I tie are two tone.

I’m going to build some in mono tone in some of the more popular HUB colors and see if that won’t entice more grabs!

I just drag (troll) a scented HUB along the bottom, on my swiveling rod holder, on rod rack.
With perseverance and determination, our FT legal Haliut is just a mater of time now!
