Hey Jerdon,

I took a few pic’s of it while it was in the water in front of me. I was more focused on removing my HUB from it’s shoulder-wing.
It measured approx 24” wing span and it would have fit on my lap tray but it’s “business end” STOPPED that from happening.

All I need is a stingray thorn stuck in my chest. Evil or Very Mad

My apologies ... I’m just feeling a bit un-inspired right at the moment. One of them days!

Oh-Man ... will they ever! I call it ... SKI-SHING!  Thumbs Up

Mine was about a 24” span, so no shi-shing with this lil’ one.

It stayed straight down below me; the entire time, which fooled me into thinking that it was a halibut with head-shakes.

Oh Brotha .... I really didn’t want to have to deal with unbuttoning my HUB from the shoulder of a pissed off Bat-ray w/ a fighting attitude and a knife sticking out of its tail!  Cool But I did!

Hi ya Dan! salute Always enjoy reading your posts! Do you have any plans for tubing the salt this coming week? Forecast shows Santa Ana wind Mon/Tues. Might be favorable in some of the bays? I have a few days off and would love to join you!

Yes sir I have had my fair share of Mud Marlins in NPH LOL! I've hitched a ride more than a few times for a good distance when they decide to run lateral to the shoreline! That mud marlin bite is pretty unique if I remember. They usually are a single Tick or if you are a line watcher, the line just 'jumps'. Crank down and load the rod and hold on LOL! The up and down nature would sure to feel like a Halibut! More than once, I stick one and hope its a BUTT! Smile Times on the water are so mysterious and priceless! Thumbs Up

I should be able to maneuver some morning fishing times this week.
